Donors & Patrons

Make a Donation!

Pagosa Peak Open School depends for its success on the entire Archuleta County community. Some of that support arrives as generous monetary contributions and in-kind donations; some comes in the form of time and ideas contributed by numerous volunteers.

Pagosa Peak Open School operates as a 501c3 non-profit, so your monetary donation may be tax-deductible. During our initial fundraising period, tax-deductible donations can be made through our fiscal sponsor, the Colorado League of Charter Schools. Click here to make a donation at

Simmons Family Charitable Foundation
The Simmons Family Charitable Foundation was created in 1985, and was led for more than 33 years by Mr. Frederick L. Simmons, a Los Angeles-based lawyer, until his passing in 2018. In addition to being a well-respected attorney who practiced law for nearly 60 years, Mr. Simmons was also a prolific author and poet, and was a dedicated philanthropist – a true modern day Renaissance Man, who continually strove to ensure that the smaller and less well-known charities, which often perform critical services but often don’t garner larger contributions, would continue have access to funds to provide such needed services in their communities.

Parelli Natural Horsemanship
Parelli Natural Horsemanship has become a viable and important aspect of the international horse industry and continues to expand and influence the way in which horses are trained. Pat and Linda Parelli bring an amazing talent for both training horses and teaching people how to be more than a rider, and how train your own horses using behavioral psychology and maximizing love, language, and leadership.
