In May 2020, the Pagosa Peak Open School Building Corporation closed on the purchase of the former Parelli Horsemanship Headquarters building in Aspen Village, on behalf of Pagosa Peak Open School. Due to COVID, the school was unable to host the usual celebratory Ribbon Cutting event.
So… a year later…. on May 11, 2021… students, staff and families gathered to celebrate the building’s purchase and the permanence of our learning home. The Pagosa Springs Chamber of Commerce coordinated the event and supplied the Red Ribbon.
PPOS also celebrated our Class and Individual ‘Winter Fitness Minute’ winners from the PPOS Winter Games which included the presentation of an engraved perpetual plaque. This annual event will be held outdoors, as it was this year.
Tours of the school were available at the end of the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.
